LMS integration and customization for occupational safety training
TL;DR
Nerds integrated and customized an existing learning management system for ByPen, a Romanian occupational safety and emergency preparedness training provider. The platform brings together structured online courses, video sessions, learner administration, completion documents and mobile access.
Context & challenge
ByPen needed to complement its in-person training with online access for learners who could not always attend on site. Courses needed a clear sequence, while administrators needed to manage enrollment, follow progress and prepare completion documents.
The project focused on supporting these training activities in one platform, with course content and completion requirements defined by the provider.
Our role
Our work covered LMS integration, configuration and customization. We adapted the existing platform to the provider’s course structure, branding and administration needs, including document templates and access for administrators, instructors and learners.
Solution & delivery
We configured the learning and administration tools around the provider’s course delivery:
- Structured courses. Modules follow a defined sequence, with completion conditions controlling when learners can move to the next step.
- Video training. Video classrooms and recorded content support remote sessions alongside course materials.
- Completion documents. Templates populate certificates with learner and course data when the configured completion conditions are met.
- Learner administration. Enrollment, role-based access and progress reporting give instructors and administrators a shared view of course activity.
- Mobile access. Learners can reach courses, video content and assessments through a mobile application.
The platform records course progress and generates documents; it does not itself award professional qualifications or official authorizations.
Results
The provider gained a platform for online learning alongside its in-person sessions, with a defined course path and access from mobile devices.
Administrators can manage enrollment, review progress and generate completion documents from templates in the same system. These capabilities support day-to-day training administration without relying on a separate manual process for each document.
