TL;DR
Nerds developed Inowattio, an energy platform that connects monitoring, forecasting, remote control and market operations. The work spans equipment integration, web and mobile applications, and ongoing support, informed by practical experience operating solar plants and trading energy.
Context & challenge
Inowattio brings together solar generation, battery storage and consumption across distributed sites. It serves two connected needs: giving customers a clear view of their energy, and giving operators the tools to coordinate resources and market activity.
The challenge extends beyond displaying readings. Equipment exposes different interfaces; production and consumption vary; market commitments must translate into instructions that the available resources can fulfil. Measurements, forecasts, schedules and control need to describe the same units and delivery periods.
We set out to connect these responsibilities while keeping them distinct. A customer checking a plant, an operator controlling a portfolio and a trader managing commitments need different views, permissions and workflows, built on consistent energy data.

Nerds built Inowattio, covering product development, architecture, equipment integration, web and mobile applications, infrastructure and ongoing support.

Monitoring and remote control
Inowattio brings together live and historical data on production, consumption, storage and grid exchange. Equipment integration and remote control let operators monitor and manage resources across multiple sites.
Forecasting, aggregation and dispatch
Production and consumption forecasts support planning, while aggregation and dispatch capabilities help coordinate distributed energy resources. Operators can compare expected and actual performance and manage the available capacity of a portfolio.
Energy-market integration
The platform connects energy operations with BRM/Nord Pool and DAMAS interfaces, supporting market information, trading workflows and production schedules.
Web, mobile and partner applications
Customer dashboards, mobile applications and operator tools provide access to the information each user needs. A white-label offering allows partners to present the platform under their own brand. Community features include membership and sharing rules, with additional administration workflows under development.
Delivery and ongoing support
Our work covers the product from equipment integration to application delivery and cloud operations. We continue to maintain and extend the platform as operational needs and integrations evolve.
Results
Inowattio is an operating product, and the work continues as equipment integrations and operational requirements evolve. The result is a connected set of capabilities spanning field devices, energy operations and customer applications.

A foundation for partner products
Inowattio offers a white-label energy management system that partners can present under their own brand. The capabilities, equipment integrations and support are defined for each project.
