TL;DR
Nerds designed, developed and deployed the complete self-service carwash automation solution for HermannGas. The system connects wash-bay controls, NFC card payments and credit top-ups with the tools staff use to manage the service.
Context & challenge
HermannGas wanted to add a self-service carwash to its LPG station. Customers needed a straightforward way to pay and choose wash programmes, while staff needed tools to manage credit, equipment and usage.
Our role
We delivered the complete automation project, including the control and administration software, customer interfaces and hardware integration. We connected the wash equipment and payment devices into a single working solution and deployed it on site.
Solution & delivery
The solution combines controls at each wash bay with card and payment handling and a staff administration interface.
- Wash programmes. Customer controls connect the selected programme to the wash equipment, including pumps, valves and sensors.
- Cards and credit. NFC cards link customer credit to wash usage, with payment and top-up functions for adding credit.
- Daily administration. Staff can review current and historical usage, manage credit and configure services through an administration interface.
Results
The delivered system supports a complete self-service journey, from adding credit to running a wash programme. Staff have a common set of tools for overseeing usage and managing the service.
